I just wrapped up tuning my piano today to record my recital piece tomorrow. It's almost 11:30 PM here, been a long day, a long week, a long month, a long quarter. That somehow went by really fast.
I'm just left thinking, the stars don't just realign themselves to help make these recital recordings happen. We have to move the stars and align them ourselves. I literally have to shift professional and personal duties all around to get this done. I'm a single tasker, so things basically get dropped on the floor, left and right.
And there's still no guarantee I'll be able to successfully record my video tomorrow. Even if I do, there's a very real possibility that I will encounter challenges completing the video with all that I have coming up this week.
Ultimately, for what? A video someone will scroll by without thinking twice on YT or FB, with no appreciation at all of what it took to make the video. AI will do a much better job of grabbing that human's attention span anyway.
No. There's more to it than that. There has to be.
This is not just a hobby, this is what makes me me. I'm pouring myself into this. As a result, I'm growing, I'm here for the ride and enjoying the journey. Yes, I'm having fun, and I enjoy the thought that, ultimately, I'm putting something of myself, that I worked very hard on, out there.
The fact that I could do it at all is a marvel, regardless of the final product.
And that's enough! It's got to be. β³
